Elewana Kifaru House offers guided two-hour horse or camel back safaris in the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy. Horseback rides are for experienced riders only, allowing close encounters with plains game that remain indifferent to the riders. Horses are well-trained and adapted to the bush environment. Camel rides, led by Samburu handlers, provide a gentler pace suitable for riders without prior experience. Both activities take place in the evening and are subject to availability and an additional charge. Guests complete a competency questionnaire before horseback riding. The safaris offer a raised viewpoint to observe wildlife closely while moving quietly through the wilderness.
