Elewana Serengeti Migration Camp

Elewana Serengeti Migration Camp sits beside the Grumeti River in the western Serengeti, inside Serengeti National Park in north-west Tanzania. The camp is positioned at the point where the annual wildebeest migration enters this corridor, and the Grumeti's resident hippos are audible from the tents at most hours of the day.

The camp holds twenty elevated tents, each raised on a wooden platform among rocky outcrops and fitted with a full wraparound verandah deck. Inside, each tent has an en-suite bathroom with shower, flushing toilet, and twin vanity basins fed by solar-heated water around the clock. Furnishings include a writing desk, a room fan, and soft furnishings throughout. A pool, bar, restaurant, and dining tent with open views complete the main facilities.

Game drives go out twice daily and can extend into full-day drives with a champagne picnic breakfast and a packed lunch carried along. Two- and four-hour guided walking safaris run with a professional guide. Hot-air balloon safaris over the plains are available but must be booked in advance. Other options include sundowner cocktails on the sunset deck, bush breakfasts and lunches, and massages on site.

The camp operates in English and Swahili. Credit card facilities are available, and laundry is handled on site.
