Etosha Mountain Lodge

Etosha Mountain Lodge sits on a dolomite hill inside its own private reserve, which acts as a wildlife buffer along the edge of Etosha National Park. The position gives the lodge long views across the surrounding landscape, and it gives the reserve a conservation role — guests can learn about the protection work in place on both sides of the boundary.

The buildings are round, high-roofed, and thatched, built from wood and stone in a style common to Namibian lodges. The main area holds a bar, a lounge with an indoor fireplace for cold winter evenings, a dining room, and a small curio shop. A large wooden deck outside has a swimming pool, a boma for evening gatherings, and a wine cellar. Wi-Fi is available at reception.

The lodge has eight thatched chalets and one family suite — nine rooms in total. Each has an en-suite bathroom with both a shower and a bathtub, and a private wooden viewing deck facing the surrounding terrain.

Game drives run daily on the reserve. Black and white rhino are present in the area in notable numbers and are tracked on foot. The reserve also carries big cats and large antelope herds, and evening drives target nocturnal species not visible during the day. With only nine rooms, the lodge can be taken over entirely by a single group.
