Farmhouse Rwanda

Farmhouse Rwanda sits on a sixteen-hectare working farm in Kinigi, a five-minute drive from the headquarters of Volcanoes National Park — the starting point for gorilla tracking permits. The views from the property take in the Virunga volcanoes, two lakes, and Musanze city below.

There are six suites across two buildings. The Private Farmhouse holds four suites — three standard and one master — sharing a living room, dining area, kitchen, TV room, two outdoor lounges, and a garden; it can be booked on exclusive use for up to eight guests or room by room. The two-bedroom Cottage sits separately on the farm, with a freestanding bathtub, a hot tub, a private garden, and direct views of the horses and cattle grazing outside.

Ninety-five percent of the food served here is grown on the farm in volcanic soil. The kitchen runs on an organic farm-to-fork model, and guests who want to go further can join cheese-making classes, beekeeping workshops, or help with the cow milking. The farm also counts more than seventy-five bird species, observable from the cottage hot tub. Horse riding is available on-site.

The property is malaria-free, family-friendly, and operates in English, French, Kinyarwanda, and Swahili. Airport transfers and private vehicle hire are available on request.
