Morning game drives at Flatdogs Camp start at 6am after a light breakfast. Guests ride in open 4x4 vehicles with seating for up to six, allowing an unobstructed view of wildlife and vegetation. The drive lasts around four hours and includes a mid-drive stop for tea or a cold drink. Guides rely on their skills and animal alarm calls to locate predators or kills, avoiding the use of radio for tracking. Drives normally return by 10am, depending on the season. This activity offers a direct way to observe South Luangwa National Park’s fauna in the cooler morning hours.
