Grotta Resort
Grotta Resort operates as a basecamp for gorilla trekking and highland exploration in Musanze. The property sits in Susa Village, two kilometres from Volcanoes National Park, and is built around natural volcanic cave systems formed over millennia. Seven room categories span Standard Rooms with garden views through to Executive Rooms with private pools and butler service. King Volcano View and King Pool View rooms feature private terraces and soaking tubs; Family Rooms combine sleeping quarters with access to a kids' movie room and farm activities. The Deluxe Room includes a stone bath and separate lounge.
The main restaurant opens for dinner and works with highland farmers to create a seasonal menu available as tasting courses or à la carte. The Cave Café operates throughout the day at the cave entrance, serving coffee, light meals, and an evening selection of spirits. A cocktail bar and lounge opens from early evening. The outdoor pool, landscaped gardens, and highland terraces are available to all guests without reservation. Wellness facilities include an infra-red sauna, outdoor jacuzzi facing the volcanic landscape, and a gym with floor-to-ceiling windows. Guided cave exploration, farm mornings, bonfire evenings, and a movie room are available on site.
Beyond the property, the resort arranges gorilla trekking permits, electric mountain-bike trails, volcano hikes, golden monkey treks, kayaking, and cultural visits to local communities. A conference room and large outdoor event tent accommodate corporate groups and private gatherings.
