Hayat Rum Camp

Set among sandstone mountains in Wadi Rum, near Deeseh village, the camp holds ten units: eight tented suites and two duplex lodges. Each tented suite—offered as Black Al Badya or White Royal—has floor-to-ceiling glass across the front so views extend from the bed, the seating area, and the shower. Air-conditioning, a minibar, a terrace, and a private bathroom with spa tub are standard. The two duplex lodges divide across two levels. The lower floor holds a living room and a modern bathroom. An open attic with a double bed occupies the upper floor, plus a private balcony that faces the stars. Each lodge has a patio on the ground level. You choose morning, afternoon, or sunset departure. Walking routes through the immediate desert are escorted by a guide. Camel rides and horseback riding depart from the camp. Two restaurants serve traditional Jordanian food—one with low Bedouin seating, the other with table and chair arrangement. Outdoor seating sits under the night sky. Half-board covers breakfast and one other meal. Staff includes a head chef, sous chef, roast and grill chef, pantry chef, and pastry chef.
