Herdade do Amarelo Natura & Spa

Developed from a 19th-century ruin on land near São Luís in Portugal's Alentejo region, Herdade do Amarelo Natura & Spa stands seven kilometres from Vila Nova de Milfontes within the Costa Vicentina Natural Park boundary. Original construction materials — schist, stone, and rammed earth — were salvaged from the site and reused to build the property. The estate holds six suite types. The Panorâmica occupies the uppermost position with views across the Serra de São Domingos to the east, Alentejo plains to the north, and the Atlantic to the west. Deluxe, Master, and King Superior suites each feature fireplaces; Zen and Superior suites complete the inventory. Two outdoor saltwater pools — one for adults, one for children — face the São Domingos ridge. The spa includes a suspended jacuzzi, Turkish bath, and massage rooms in an exterior pavilion set above the mountain view. Breakfast is served in the dining room with produce grown on the estate. Walking trails cross the property through olive groves and along a stream; olive-oil tastings and picnics can be arranged on these routes. The estate lies between the Alentejo coast and inland hills, 37 kilometres north-east of Odemira.
