Hideaway Rio Celeste Hotel
Step from your casita onto a private patio and you can hear the rainforest's daily rhythm: resident sloths shifting in the canopy, white-faced monkeys moving between branches, coatis foraging near the trails. Hideaway Río Celeste occupies 80 acres at the base of Tenorio Volcano in northern Costa Rica, seven hundred metres from the entrance to Tenorio National Park and 700 metres from the turquoise current of Río Celeste itself. Each casita includes a king bed or two queens, a bathroom with both an indoor and outdoor shower, air-conditioning, wooden accents, a coffee station, and a terrace overlooking either primary rainforest or tropical gardens planted across the site. Two on-site restaurants operate daily: Kantala serves breakfast surrounded by rainforest and offers open-air seating; Mandarina applies Asian techniques to Costa Rican ingredients. Cantina Delirio stocks premium spirits in a lounge setting, and Café Romance dispenses cappuccinos and tiramisu between eleven and five. A heated pool and jacuzzi stand beside Blue Moon, a swim-up bar serving light fare. PRANA Spa offers massage and aromatic treatments in a pavilion set among trees. The Ayurveda Yoga Pavilion accommodates 20 practitioners and sits 700 metres from the river, equipped with mats, blocks, and bolsters. Private trails lead to swimming access on Río Celeste, included in every stay, and the concierge arranges guided night walks, tubing excursions, birdwatching routes, and visits to Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge and the Maleku Indigenous Reserve. Wireless internet and daily breakfast are complimentary.
