Hotel Cataratas

Hotel das Cataratas is the one hotel built inside Iguassu National Park, close enough that the falls are audible from parts of the grounds. Rooms and suites are spread across a Main Building, a Garden Wing and a Forest Wing. Sizes run from 18 m² Superior Rooms to a 164 m² Three Bedroom Deluxe Suite sleeping eight. Deluxe Falls View Rooms look directly onto the cascades, while the Cataratas Suite adds multiple balconies with falls and forest views. A Junior Pool Suite has its own garden and plunge pool, a rarity this close to a national park boundary. At Itaipu Restaurant, guests can choose the indoor room or the veranda, where local and international dishes are served to the sound of the falls. Ipê Grill serves a barbecue buffet looking over the garden's jungle plantings. It is a compact operation by design, hemmed in by the park's own limits on building. Suites in the Garden Wing include a Two Bedroom Noble Suite at 96 m², sleeping five, with a separate sitting area. Location, in the end, is the whole argument: no other hotel shares this address inside the park.
