Hyatt Place Springdale/Zion National Park

Hyatt Place Springdale stands on the main road through Springdale, Utah, close enough to Zion National Park that the south gate is a few minutes on foot. Shuttle stops for the park, art galleries, and the town centre are all within walking distance — which means you can leave the car and still cover most of what you need.

Rooms are fitted for an early-morning hike: free Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, sixty-five-inch televisions, coffee makers, and minifridges. Complimentary toiletries are in every bathroom. Having coffee ready in the room before the first shuttle of the day is a practical advantage.

The on-site restaurant, The Placery, runs a menu of breakfast plates, burgers, sandwiches, and salads. A round-the-clock espresso counter and a selection of packaged grab-and-go items cover the hours before the kitchen opens and after it closes — both ends of a long hiking day. The hotel also runs a free shuttle around the Springdale area, which takes the pressure off parking in town for dinner or supplies.

The outdoor pool and two hot tubs operate seasonally. A fitness centre is open year-round, and the hotel has meeting space for groups. From the street, the red-rock walls of Zion canyon are visible above the town.
