Ilkeliani Camp
Ilkeliani Camp sits inside a riverine forest on the Talek River in the Masai Mara, with open plains visible from the decks of every tent. The camp is small — seven tented suites in total — and is divided into two wings. The premium wing holds four suites and a two-bedroom family unit. The deluxe wing holds six rooms and its own family tent, which sleeps four.
All the tented suites are raised on stilts, which puts the Talek River and the plains beyond at eye level from the wooden decks. The canvas sides of each deck are detachable, so you can open the room fully to the air or close it against the morning chill. Each suite sits within a tree grove with its own private entrance.
Game drives run from the camp into the Masai Mara, where the Big Five are present. The camp also arranges game walks and cultural tours to Maasai communities in the area. A bar and restaurant are on site, and the kitchen accommodates vegetarian diets. Wi-Fi, a safe, and a fireplace are standard in each room.
The camp is in Narok County, in the Talek area of the Mara ecosystem, and a travel desk can arrange private vehicle transfers.
