KaMsholo Bushveld Safaris

Set along the road between the Lavumisa border and Big Bend, KaMsholo occupies a 700ha reserve at the foot of the Lebombo Mountains in Ndzevane, Eswatini. Umbrella trees dominate the bush here, and giraffe move through it in numbers that surprise most first-time visitors, alongside reedbuck, waterbuck and ostrich. It is a working reserve, once used for hunting, where wildlife has grown steadily more relaxed under the current management. Accommodation ranges across four camps. Tinsele Rest Camp, two kilometres from the main restaurant, holds eight thatched huts named for Eswatini's game rangers, each en suite with air conditioning. Nguni Ranch House offers eleven rooms around a garden and pool, with a deep verandah wrapping the building. Bushveld Backpackers, near reception, keeps twelve twin-share beehive huts for budget travellers, refurbished in 2020. A campsite with braai stands and a communal kitchen rounds out the options. Guides lead game drives, walks and horse rides, including a giraffe-focused route through the bush, and guests may self-drive within the reserve. The Mashu Hide overlooks a dam ringed with fever trees, home to crocodile and waterbirds, reached on foot from Tinsele Camp. The Trading Post Restaurant serves pizzas, stews and coffee to both overnight guests and passers-by. Check-in runs from 2pm.
