Tour Green Village
Bamboo architecture tour along Ubud's Ayung River
Skip to product information
Green Village sits on the banks of the Ayung River in Ubud, a cluster of thirteen bamboo residences designed individually by Indonesian architecture firm IBUKU. The tour starts at IBUKU's workshop, where guides explain how bamboo is treated, cut and crafted into furniture, floors and roofs. A five-minute drive brings you to the village itself for a guided walk past homes such as the curved Leaf House and Villa Kelapa, with its horn-shaped roofs drawn from Sumatran Minangkabau design. Each visit varies depending on which homes are occupied. A visit to jeweller John Hardy's workshop nearby can be added for a small extra fee.
