Keije Resort Bunyonyi

Set on the shore of Lake Bunyonyi in southwestern Uganda, Keije Resort Bunyonyi is 12 cottages raised on wooden decks in a single block. Double rooms span 48 m². Twin rooms measure 30 m². Single rooms occupy 50 m². All rooms include flat-screen television, wireless internet access at the reception lounge and restaurant, and private bathroom. The cottages are built with local materials and finished in wood. An art gallery displays Bakiga cultural themes. Guests can swim from the jetty in the bilharzia-free waters. Canoes are available for guided two-hour paddles to the 29 islands scattered across the lake, including Bucuranuka Island. Guided walks lead through neighbouring villages and coffee plantations. Cultural visits to Batwa communities include traditional dance performances and craft demonstrations. Nature walks trace footpaths on the islands. Zip-lining connects points across the water. Bird walks identify species among the 200 recorded on the lake. Secure parking is available. The resort is a stopover on the route to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
