Khan River Lodge sits on six thousand hectares of game farm in the Erongo region, roughly twenty kilometres north of the B2 highway between Windhoek and Swakopmund. The farm was originally cattle land and has since been restocked with fourteen game species: Damara Dik-Dik, Steenbok, Duiker, Warthog, Springbok, Impala, Blesbok, Kudu, Oryx, Eland, Blue and Black Wildebeest, Plains Zebra and Giraffe. Over two hundred bird species have been recorded on the property.

Accommodation runs from a luxury double and family room — king-size bed, double sofa, private bathroom with bath and shower, and a kitchenette — down through standard bed-and-breakfast chalets with their own stoep, to self-catering twin chalets equipped with a two-plate gas stove, fridge, braai stand, and full cutlery and crockery. Campsites along the Khan River have open-air hot showers, flushing toilets, and braai facilities; a generator is available on request. All chalets include air conditioning and complimentary Wi-Fi.

Activities — game drives, sundowner drives, guided walks, and target shooting — are bookable on site and are not included in the accommodation rate. The pool and lapa area serve as a central gathering point between outings.

From Windhoek, allow roughly two hours by road. From the B2, turn north at Wilhelmstal, cross the railway line, and follow the lodge signs for twenty kilometres.
