Kicheche Bush Olare

Kicheche Bush Olare sits inside Olare Motorogi Conservancy, a private conservancy adjoining the Masai Mara in Kenya's Rift Valley. The camp is completely unfenced — six custom-designed tents spread under acacia trees, sleeping a maximum of fifteen guests. That limit is a deliberate choice: meals are communal, the fire at aperitif hour is shared, and guests meet their hosts each evening rather than disappearing into a large property.

The tents are fitted with Podocarpus beds, Egyptian cotton linen, Indian rugs, and en-suite bathrooms with hot and cold running water. A family suite holds two separate en-suite bedrooms connected by a lounge, accommodates up to five guests, and comes with exclusive use of a safari vehicle. One standard tent converts to a triple on request. Verandah chairs on each tent face the plains.

Guides hold Silver ratings from the Kenya Professional Safari Guides Association, placing them among Kenya's most qualified. Olare Motorogi Conservancy permits off-road driving and limits the number of vehicles at any sighting — conditions that distinguish it from the main Mara reserve. Game walks, overnight wild camping, and hot-air balloon flights over the Mara are also available. The camp supports the Maa Trust, a women's empowerment and conservation project ten minutes from camp that guests can visit.

The camp holds a Gold eco-rating and runs on solar power, which means no hair dryers, though lighting runs around the clock. Wi-Fi reaches the lounge and guest tents.
