Self-guided hiking and mountain biking through Aus Mountains

Klein-Aus Vista offers six marked trails through the Succulent Karoo desert and Aus Mountains, ranging from five to nearly eighteen kilometres. Trails are colour-coded and graded from easy to intermediate or advanced, with durations between ninety minutes and five hours. Each trailhead has an info kiosk with maps and parking. A park permit is required and supports conservation of the Gondwana Sperrgebiet Rand Park and Klein-Kubub Ranch. Maintenance includes signage and erosion control. Notable features visible on some routes include a large stone artwork of a galloping horse, commemorating the Namib wild horses. The area is accessible for both hikers and mountain bikers.
