The Wild Horses activity involves a self-guided trip to a viewpoint at Garub where Namibia's century-old population of wild horses can be seen roaming in small groups. This activity is accessible via the Vista or Schutztruppe hiking trails, both marked and ranging from easy to intermediate difficulty. Visitors must purchase a park permit at the Desert Horse Inn reception to participate, which supports conservation efforts in the Succulent Karoo Biome and maintains over 100 kilometres of trails. The viewpoint offers a clear sight of the desert plains where the horses live.
