Daytime Treewalk

A thirty-to-forty-minute walk on suspended boardwalks through a forest of redwood trees, some one hundred and twenty years old, near Rotorua. The path lifts walkers above the forest floor for a view down through the canopy and out across stands of New Zealand silver fern and native bush. The route is level and suitable for all fitness levels, accessible to anyone who can walk unaided, and free strollers are available on request. The forest stays evergreen year-round, so the walk runs in any season. It suits families as easily as solo visitors.
