Kulandila Camp sits on the Luangwa River inside South Luangwa National Park, a smaller companion to Sungani Lodge. Both properties are family-owned and were constructed largely by the family alongside people from the surrounding area. Four elevated tents are linked by raised walkways to a shared main area and a swimming pool that looks out over the river. Each tent covers roughly four hundred and sixty square feet of indoor floor space on a wooden platform with a private veranda, white linen, textured cushions, and oiled teak furniture. An outdoor slipper bath sits outside each tent, open to the river view.

The activities follow the South Luangwa tradition. Custom-built game-drive vehicles go out daily, and guided walking safaris run along the Luangwa's banks and floodplains — South Luangwa is widely regarded as the home of the walking safari. The camp's hide network includes positions at a watering hole, a lagoon platform above hippo water, and a hide for carmine bee-eaters. All-day drives can be arranged on request, with food packed from the kitchen. Bush meals on the riverbank are also available. The resident photographer and head safari guide, Michael Davy, developed the hide network and works with photographers at any level.

Transfer to the camp is by the Sungani aircraft from Mfuwe — a twenty-minute flight included in the stay. Exclusive use of all four tents is available for groups of up to eight guests.
