Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort sits on the shore of Lake Naivasha in Nakuru County, inside grounds where waterbucks, giraffes, zebras and colobus monkeys move freely. At night, a secure viewing deck lets you watch hippos graze along the water's edge.

The eighty-two rooms are spread across twenty-one stone cottages arranged in a crescent. Eighty are standard configuration; two are suites. Six cottages have rooms on the ground floor that connect, which works well for families travelling together. Two rooms are fitted for guests with physical disabilities. Ground-floor standard rooms each hold a pair of queen-size beds and a stepped-down sitting area at the front that opens directly onto the lawns. The stone finish on the cottage exteriors continues inside, so the walls carry the same material throughout.

The grounds are planted with frangipanis, aloes, proteas and acacia trees, with rock gardens of flowering plants set against close-cut lawn. Pathways run between the cottages across open grass. Monkeys move through the trees, and a range of bird species is present across the property.

On-site facilities include a restaurant, bar, outdoor dining deck, swimming pool, gym, gift shop, conference centre, and barbecue area. Activities on the property include bird watching, cycling, horse riding, and tennis. Off-site, guests can arrange boating, fishing, rock climbing, and mountain biking. Wi-Fi is complimentary throughout. A spa is in development.
