Lance Aux Epines Cottages

Lance Aux Epines Cottages is a self-catering property that has operated on Grenada's southwestern coast since 1984. It occupies three acres of garden running down to a quiet, tree-shaded beach at Lance aux Epines. The layout mixes two building types: a block of four apartments, each named for one of Grenada's native birds — Wren, Ramier, Kite and Kestrel — and a set of separate cottages, some standing closer to the shoreline than the apartments themselves. Eleven units in total. Apartments come in one, two, or three-bedroom configurations, with upstairs and downstairs options within the same block. The cottages have been recently redecorated, with rebuilt kitchens in some units and air conditioning now fitted in every bedroom; ceiling fans run alongside for cooler nights. Each unit has its own sitting room, kept separate from the sleeping quarters. Maid and laundry service are included. Outside, paths cut through the garden to shaded corners planted with flowering shrubs, where hummingbirds are a common sight. The beach itself lies a short walk from the rooms, backed by coconut palms and sheltered enough for calm swimming. A bar and restaurant on site serves rum-based cocktails and dishes built from produce sourced locally. Wi-Fi covers the grounds. It is a compact, low-key stay, built for guests who want to cook for themselves and come and go from the sand at will.
