Last Word Constantia sits on Spaanschemat River Road in the Constantia valley, the oldest wine-producing area in South Africa — the first vines here date to 1685. The hotel has nine rooms and suites within a walled garden, with an outdoor pool. The Steenberg Golf Course is five minutes away, and the wine estates of Groot Constantia, Klein Constantia, Constantia Glen, and Buitenverwachting are all within a short drive.

The nine rooms divide into four Superior Double rooms, four Elegant Suites, and one Family Suite. Superior Doubles are forty-five square metres with a private fourteen-square-metre patio; the Elegant Suites run to ninety-five square metres and include a separate lounge, bath, shower, and toilet. The Family Suite has a main bedroom of ninety square metres and a separate children's bedroom of twenty-eight square metres, both en-suite, with a lounge area, flat-screen television, and Nintendo Wii. Every room includes a complimentary minibar, underfloor heating, and complimentary Wi-Fi.

The hotel arranges guided tours — the Constantia wine route, the Cape Peninsula south to Cape Point, and a city tour taking in Table Mountain, the Bo-Kaap, and the Atlantic Seaboard. Cycling, hiking, golf, and bird watching are among the activities accessible from the property. Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, on the eastern slopes of Table Mountain, is close by. Peddlars, a long-running restaurant on the valley floor, is the nearest dining option.
