Le Lodge Kerisper

Built as a farmhouse in the 19th century, Le Lodge Kerisper keeps its whitewashed walls and timber shutters behind a garden gate a few minutes' walk from the harbour. Inside, the register is domestic rather than grand: chequered flat-screen televisions aside, rooms lean on wood panelling, chosen mirrors, and bathrooms styled after an artist's studio. Twenty rooms and suites are arranged around a heated outdoor pool and a south-facing garden. The classic rooms run 20 m² and overlook the flowerbeds; superior rooms add a terrace or balcony in the same aspect. Junior suites open to 35 m², sometimes split into a bedroom and an alcove sleeping area, while apartment suites reach 50 m² with two connecting rooms and a private terrace fitted with loungers. A small wellness area offers massage by appointment, tucked away from the pool and garden. You can hear little beyond the fountain and gravel underfoot, a contrast to the sailing harbour and its regattas just beyond the Kerisper bridge. The hotel sits a short drive from the beaches of Carnac and the granite coastline of the Quiberon peninsula, with the Gulf of Morbihan's islands reachable by boat. Breakfast, wellness treatments, and pets are charged separately. It amounts to a compact, family-run address built for slowing down rather than sightseeing at pace.
