Lebala
Part of Phasec create
Lebala is a nine-tent camp set on open floodplain ground along the Kwando River inside the Kwando Reserve, part of the greater Kwando-Linyanti region in northern Botswana. The name translates as 'wide open spaces', and the terrain reflects that: flat, open country that supports elephant, buffalo, hippo, lion, cheetah, hyena, and a range of plains game — zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, impala, and tsessebe among them.
Each tent is built with mosquito-net walls rather than solid canvas, which keeps air moving through and leaves the views unobstructed. A private deck sits off each unit, and the bathroom includes double outdoor showers. One tent connects to an adjoining twin room, making it a practical option for families with children.
The communal area includes an elevated viewing hide positioned over the floodplain — a useful vantage point for watching game at water without the vehicle disturbing it — plus a swimming pool, communal fireplace, dining room, bar, lounge with a small library, and a safari shop.
The floodplain position is deliberate: the proximity to the river draws plains game and predators consistently, and activities run directly out into that terrain from camp.
