Legendary Mila Tented Camp
Legendary Mila Tented Camp sits in Nyasirori, a secluded area inside the Serengeti's western corridor. This is lion country: the region supports a strong resident lion population alongside the broader wildlife of the western Serengeti, and the Grumeti River runs close enough to the camp to shape the game-viewing through every season.
The camp holds six tented suites. The setting is open savanna, and the tents face out over that landscape — canvas walls, a clear sight-line to the plains, and the sounds that come with being this far into the Serengeti's western reaches.
The western corridor is one of the less-visited sections of the Serengeti, which gives Mila a quieter approach to game drives than the park's more central and northern areas. Between April and June, the Great Migration's rutting season brings the wildebeest herds northwest through this corridor toward the Grumeti River, where crocodiles wait in the water. During those months the camp is directly in the path of that movement. Year-round, resident plains game and predators — lion in particular — make the drives consistent regardless of the migration calendar.
Mila is part of the Legendary Expeditions collection, which also operates camps in the northern Serengeti and a migrational camp that moves with the herds across the ecosystem.
