Maluti Stay Lodge sits on the bank of the Makhaleng River just outside the settlement of Roma, on the road toward Semonkong in Lesotho's highlands. It is a working lodge — practical, river-facing, and well-placed for exploring the interior.

Accommodation runs to twenty standard rooms and eight rondavels. Both types have en-suite bathrooms with a shower, and tea and coffee facilities in the room. Single, double and twin configurations are available. Power comes from a generator and runs each evening; come prepared for the hours outside that window.

The grounds sit directly above the Makhaleng River, and the bar is positioned to take advantage of that. Evening meals are prepared from local ingredients by the kitchen and served communally. The conference centre takes up to forty guests, which makes the lodge a workable base for groups as well as individual travellers.

On site you can fish, go out in a boat, ride horses, walk the surrounding land, or watch birds along the river. Off site, the lodge can arrange cultural tours, hiking, mountain biking, fly fishing, and cycling into the surrounding hills. An airport shuttle is available. The lodge is malaria-free and has secure parking on the premises.

Roma itself is accessible from Maseru, and the road continues from here toward Semonkong and the Maletsunyane Falls.
