Mantis Nungwi Dreams

Nungwi Dreams sits directly on the beach at the northern tip of Zanzibar, a road transfer of roughly an hour from the airport. The hotel has fifty-seven rooms across four categories — Standard Rooms, Sea View Rooms, Beachfront Rooms, and a four-bedroom Presidential Villa — plus two infinity pools on a deck that opens straight onto the sand. Architecture combines contemporary design with Swahili and Arabic detailing. All rooms have balconies or terraces, air conditioning, and en-suite bathrooms.

The Presidential Villa covers two hundred and fourteen square metres, holds up to twelve guests across three king bedrooms and one twin room, and has its own private pool, dining area, and additional living space.

Three food and drink options are on site. The main restaurant serves breakfast as a continental buffet or à la carte, and offers local and international dishes through the day. The Pool Bar and Grill serves light meals and grilled dishes beside the water. The Sky Bar is a rooftop setting with views across the coastline, and is the practical place for sundowners.

The hotel's position on the north end of the island puts it close to most of Zanzibar's main dive sites, including those around Mnemba Island. A Sea Turtle Conservation Pond run by a community NGO is within walking distance. Spice farm tours, Stone Town, Prison Island, and Jozani Forest are all reachable by day excursion arranged through the hotel's activity desk.
