Mapito Safari Camp, Serengeti, Autograph Collection

Mapito Safari Camp sits on twenty-five acres of private land just outside the Ikoma Gate of the Serengeti, in the Mara Region near Robanda. The camp holds sixteen units in total: a mix of tents at different sizes and a two-bedroom villa.

The defining structural detail is a retractable roof fitted to several tent categories, which opens the ceiling to the sky at night. Deluxe Tents are built around this feature, using handwoven textiles and natural timber alongside it. The one-bedroom VIP Tent adds a lounge area and work desk; the two-bedroom VIP Tent sleeps four guests across two ensuite bedrooms and a shared veranda, with a minibar and tea and coffee station included. The two-bedroom villa — the largest unit on the property — adds a powder room and a private outdoor shower.

On the activity side, game drives run into the Serengeti, and hot air ballooning is available off-site. The property also offers bird watching, elephant interaction, and fine dining on site. A pool, spa, gym, bar, and restaurant are all on the grounds. Staff speak English, French, German, Italian, and Swahili.

Fort Ikoma Airstrip is twenty minutes away by road; Seronera Airstrip is sixty minutes. A complimentary airport shuttle is available.
