Mara Intrepids
Part of Phasec create
Mara Intrepids sits on the bank of the Talek River inside the Masai Mara Game Reserve, near the Olare Motorogi Conservancy and a spot known to rangers as Leopard Lookout. The camp's position gives it access to the reserve's game-viewing circuits across several directions without long drives from camp.
Thirty tents stand on raised timber platforms with the river ahead of them, each fitted with a private balcony or terrace, a modern en-suite bathroom with shower, minibar, tea and coffee facilities, and daily housekeeping. The platform height clears the riverbank vegetation, so the Talek and the land beyond it are visible from your own terrace.
Game drives go out daily in open-sided vehicles. The Mara River, where wildebeest and zebra cross in large numbers during July and August, is a short drive from camp — the migration crossings are among the largest animal movements you can witness anywhere on the continent. For the rest of the year, the reserve holds large populations of elephant, buffalo, plains game, and all three of the large African cats. Hot-air balloon safaris and bush dining are available at an additional cost.
The camp is in Narok County, within the Serena area of the reserve. Wi-Fi is available in the public areas.
