Mara Ngenche Safari Camp

Mara Ngenche sits at the point where the Mara and Talek Rivers meet, inside the Maasai Mara in Kenya's Rift Valley. The camp holds ten luxury tents — four doubles and six twins — set within a ravine forest above a hippo pool where crocodiles are routinely visible on the banks below. Because the camp has no perimeter fence, hippo, predators and other wildlife move through the grounds freely.

Each tent stands within its own boma enclosure for privacy. The doubles are built around a four-poster king-size bed; the twins around two queen-size beds, both draped in mosquito netting. All tents have en-suite bathrooms with a large soaking tub, a separate shower open to the air, and a plunge pool of their own.

Game drives run in open-sided four-wheel-drive vehicles with no more than six guests per car. Guides are local Maasai, and the same guiding team leads game walks off-site. The camp also offers bird watching and wildlife tours among its on-site activities, and the broader Maasai Mara ecosystem supports Big Five sightings and the annual Great Migration.

Facilities include a bar, restaurant, and spa. The camp accommodates guests with disabilities and provides room service and round-the-clock security. English and Swahili are spoken on site.
