Masiya's Camp at Royal Malewane

Masiya's Camp sits inside the Greater Kruger on the Royal Malewane concession, named for Wilson Masiya, a master tracker who worked the land here for many years. The camp holds six tented suites, each built under canvas with a private heated plunge pool on the deck. Inside, the suites run to king-size beds — which split into two three-quarter beds for travelling companions — a freestanding bathtub, double vanities, and both indoor and outdoor showers. A sala, outdoor lounge, and dining area extend the living space onto the deck. Air conditioning, a minibar, and a pop-up television are included.

The activities run from the camp itself. Rangers and trackers take guests out on game drives in the morning and evening, with night drives after dark. Guided walks move through the same concession on foot, reading spoor and bird life at ground level. The camp also arranges scenic helicopter flights for an aerial view of the bush. Fine dining is served on site.

The concession sits in Big Five country, and guided walks here cover terrain where lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino all move freely. Complimentary laundry and internet access are provided throughout the stay.
