Masuwe Lodge
Part of Phasec create
Masuwe Lodge sits inside a private one-thousand-hectare wildlife concession on the Masuwe River, seven kilometres from Victoria Falls. The drive between the lodge and the town takes a few minutes, so you can go out for a white-water rafting trip or a helicopter flight over the Falls and be back in the bush before lunch is cleared.
The lodge holds nine Wilderness Tents and a Hideaway, all built from canvas, thatch, and stone. Each tent has its own bathroom and an outdoor deck looking over the concession and its wildlife. The Hideaway sits apart from the other tents beside a small waterhole and has both an indoor double shower and an outdoor bathtub for two. About one hundred and fifty metres from the main lodge stands the Family Nest, a stone-and-thatch building with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchenette, a shaded outdoor deck, a plunge pool, and a braai area.
On the property, rangers lead game drives into the Masuwe concession and the neighbouring Chamabonda National Park, run night drives, and take guided walks through the bush. The lodge also arranges transfers to Victoria Falls town for the wider range of activities there — boat cruises, elephant encounters, scenic flights, and the Falls themselves.
A restaurant, bar, and pool sit at the main lodge. The airport shuttle is complimentary.
