Mauricia Beachcomber Resort & Spa
Mauricia Beachcomber sits directly on the beach at Grand Baie on the north-west coast of Mauritius, with the bay visible from most of the public areas. The village of Grand Baie — restaurants, bars, boutiques, a casino — is a short walk from the gate, which makes this one of the more accessible resorts on the island for guests who want both a beach and a town within easy reach.
The resort holds two hundred and thirty-nine rooms spread across several categories. Standard and Superior rooms occupy the accommodation wings, with beachfront options closer to the water. Garden-facing apartments have two bedrooms and two bathrooms and sit in the resort gardens. Lofts are in the main building and look over the pool and bay. The three suites sit on an upper floor and each has a deck with sun loungers, an outdoor shower, and a plunge pool. The villa has two bedrooms, a shared lounge, a private garden, and a splash pool.
Water sports on-site include kayaking, canoeing, sailing, windsurfing, water skiing, snorkelling, and scuba diving. Three tennis courts, a gym, hammam, and sauna cover land-based activity. The spa has nine treatment rooms arranged around a shaded pool, with cabins built to resemble nomadic tents. An eighteen-hole golf course at Mont Choisy Le Golf is ten minutes away by road.
The Kids Club takes children aged three to eleven at no additional charge, and a dedicated baby care room serves families with infants under three. Two restaurants, a bar, and an optional all-inclusive package are available.
