MGM Wilderness

Mynhardt Guest Manor sits on the dune above the Wilderness beach, on the Garden Route between George and Knysna. The building is close enough to the water that a boardwalk from the property reaches the sand in roughly sixty steps.

The guesthouse has seven rooms across two floors. Two classic rooms on the ground floor each have a private balcony with a seating area. Two deluxe rooms on the first floor are larger, with sea-facing balconies. One sea-view suite on the first floor has a separate lounge area and looks out over both the ocean and the Wilderness hills. Two premium suites, also on the first floor, each have a small lounge; the larger of the two has a full dedicated balcony with sun loungers. All rooms have king-size beds, rain showers, air conditioning, a mini bar, a safe, and tea and coffee facilities.

Breakfast is served in a sea-facing dining room. There are two splash pools: one facing the ocean on the sea-facing deck, and a second on the northern rooftop sundeck, sheltered from the south-east wind. An honesty bar stocks South African wines. Restaurants in the nearby Milkwood village are within walking distance, and the guesthouse has secure on-site parking inside the property.

The Map of Africa viewpoint, a well-known lookout above the Kaaimans River valley, is six point eight kilometres away.
