Walking safaris reveal details a vehicle or horse would miss. Inside Lake Mburo National Park, every walk is led by an armed UWA guide, and routes can go almost anywhere once one is present. The most popular takes walkers alongside a totally habituated giraffe herd, approaching to within ten metres. Longer routes climb Warukir Ridge for wide views and frequent wildlife sightings.
