Mogogelo sits in the Mogogelo valley on a private Sankuyo community concession in Botswana's North-West District, at the edge of the Okavango Delta. A permanent waterhole directly in front of camp draws elephant, buffalo, lion and other wildlife across the open plains, so you can watch game from your deck or from the communal lounge without going anywhere at all.

The camp holds ten Meru-style canvas tents, each raised on a wooden deck with a private shaded verandah facing the waterhole. Inside, beds have wooden frames and come as either a king or two twins; en-suite bathrooms have showers, and each tent has cotton linen, mosquito nets, a safe, a fan, and electrical outlets.

Twice-daily game drives go out at sunrise and again in the late afternoon, moving through umbrella thorn forest and open plains. Because the camp operates within a private concession, night drives are also possible — leopard and lion are more active after dark, and nocturnal animals including civet, porcupine and honey badger are regularly seen. Game walks and mokoro excursions add two further ways to move through the landscape.

The communal area includes a fireside boma, a thatched dining area, a lounge, and a swimming pool. Dinners are three courses, cooked by a Motswana kitchen team and served in the open air with tables arranged separately for each group of guests.
