Morukuru Farm House is a five-bedroom, exclusive-use safari house inside a private concession within Madikwe Game Reserve — a malaria-free reserve among the largest in South Africa. The house accommodates up to ten guests and is booked as a whole, making it a practical choice for multigenerational families or groups travelling together.
The five en-suite bedrooms connect to the main living areas by a covered walkway. Each bathroom has floor-to-ceiling glass that opens directly toward the bush. Shared spaces include a pool, lounge, dining room, bar area, courtyard, and fireplace. The house sits within a hundred-hectare fenced area of general game, where children can move around freely on foot.
Everything is included — food, drinks, activities, and a dedicated private game-drive vehicle. Your guide and tracker take you into the wider reserve at times you choose, where lion, elephant, leopard, rhino, buffalo, wild dog, and around 350 bird species all move through. The Marico River — the largest natural water source in the province — runs through the concession and supports fishing safaris; a sleep-out at the river hide carries no additional charge. Bush walks, massage treatments in a sala overlooking the water, and cooking courses round out the programme.
Morukuru Family holds Relais and Chateaux membership. Federal Air runs daily shuttle flights into Madikwe East Airstrip from OR Tambo; by road from Johannesburg, the drive takes around four and a half hours.
