Ocean expedition with shark scientist Justin Blake

This activity offers a guided ocean trip exploring the Cape Kelp Forests near Cape Town. Guests travel by rigid inflatable boat from Mount Nelson hotel to dive sites including octopus gardens featured in the documentary My Octopus Teacher. The experience includes snorkelling with non-aggressive sharks and visiting sea caves, with views of Cape Town above and below water. Shark scientist Justin Blake leads the expedition, using scientific tracking tools to enhance understanding. Equipment such as snorkel gear and dry bags is provided. Transport to and from the hotel is included. Participants should bring sun protection, towels, warm clothing, and water.
