Mystik Lifestyle Hotel
Mystik sits directly on Mont Choisy Beach in the Pamplemousses and Trou-aux-Biches district on the northern coast of Mauritius. The hotel holds thirty-three rooms across two categories, and the colour palette throughout — primary colours taken from the Hindu temples in the surrounding area — is deliberate and consistent. Every piece of furniture is made in Mauritius; the hotel built its interiors as a small record of local craft.
Standard Rooms are twenty square metres and sleep two people, with balconies that look partly over the gardens. The twenty Deluxe Partial Sea View Rooms are the same size but face toward the ocean, and each has a balcony from which that partial sea view is properly readable.
The pool sits on site, and the Beach Resto Bar serves at the water's edge — the menu runs from dishes built around local spices to simpler plates, with a cocktail list alongside. Boating and watersports are available directly from the beach, which is the practical reason the hotel is sited here rather than set back from the shore. Staff speak English and French.
Mont Choisy is a long, calm beach sheltered by the northern reef, which keeps the water flat and shallow enough for most water activities in reasonable conditions.
