Perfect for Birding, Nature, Wildlife

Ndutu Wilderness Camp occupies a private plot on the Ndutu plains, within the broader Serengeti ecosystem. The camp operates seasonally, typically December through March, when the wildebeest calving takes place across these plains. Predators drawn by the calving herds are present in the area year-round, and the surrounding landscape moves between open plains, woodland, and soda lakes, each supporting different wildlife and a wide range of bird species.

The camp is unfenced and holds ten tents, including one family tent that takes two adults and two children aged six or older. Each tent measures eight point four metres by four metres, with a verandah of three point six metres by four metres that can be fitted with a net enclosure for insect protection. Inside, you will find a bed with quality linen, a vanity basin, a gravity-fed shower, and a flushing toilet. All tents run on solar power.

Game drives go out in custom Land Cruisers fitted with bean bags, gimbal mounts, and charging ports for camera equipment — useful given how much light and movement the calving season produces. Hot-air balloon flights over the Serengeti can be arranged as an additional activity, with a bush breakfast to follow.

Meals are served in a dining tent or outside, with a safari chef on site and provision for special dietary requirements. There is a central lounge and bar, battery charging facilities, laundry service, and complimentary Wi-Fi throughout.
