Ngoma Safari Lodge

Developed with the Chobe Enclave Conservation Trust, Ngoma Safari Lodge was built to support the people and land around it, three kilometres from the boundary of Chobe National Park. It sits in the Chobe Forest Reserve, above the Chobe River and its floodplains. The lodge holds just eight river-facing suites and two family suites, each with a bath, indoor and outdoor showers, and a private plunge pool. It is a small camp. Family suites sit higher on the ridge, thatched, with two en-suite bedrooms set either side of a shared lounge. The central area gathers a lounge, dining room, and bar around its own plunge pool, looking out over the water. Its forest reserve setting allows night drives as well as day game drives into Chobe National Park, guided walks, and birding across a region known for elephant herds and more than 450 bird species. Guests can also join a boat cruise on the river or a full day out combining a drive, a cruise, and lunch in the bush. Village visits can be arranged for those keen to see the community the lodge works alongside. From the outdoor showers you can hear the river below at night. Check-in runs from 2pm.
