Ngorongoro Lions Paw stands on the upper rim of the crater, on its eastern side, inside the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The crater floor is ten minutes away by vehicle, which means morning drives reach the lions, elephants, buffalo, leopard, and rhino before the day warms up, and the lodge can stay on the floor later into the evening than camps that sit further out.

The lodge holds seventeen rooms across three configurations: double or king rooms, twin rooms, and a family suite with two en-suite bedrooms and a connecting lounge for up to five guests. Rooms have verandahs, fireplaces, heated blankets for cold nights, mosquito-netted beds, and en-suite bathrooms with separate showers. Every room, the lounge, and the dining area face the crater.

The kitchen serves meals on request and runs a crater-floor breakfast or lunch — a cooked meal served on the crater itself, surrounded by wildlife. The bar operates alongside the restaurant, and the lodge has barbecue facilities for outdoor evenings.

Activities include game drives into the crater, guided walking safaris with rangers, and organised visits to a nearby Maasai boma where guides explain the architecture, customs, and daily routines of the community. A private photographer service is also available for guests who want professional images from their drives.

The lodge has complimentary Wi-Fi, a conference room, secure parking, and operates in English and Swahili.
