Makolo House

Nkwichi's one private house, built for groups and families, sits on Lake Malawi's shore with its own stretch of sand. The layout is spacious and open-plan, built low-impact from local stone, bamboo and thatching grass like the lodge's chalets. A private chef and dedicated guest services team come with the house, along with a detached bathroom, outside shower, mosquito nets, dressing gowns and complimentary laundry. A verandah and lounge area look over the lake. From here guests can walk down to swim, kayak or watch the sun set over the water.
