Nogatsaa Pans Chobe Lodge

On the edge of Kwikamba Pan in the Nogatsaa sector of Chobe National Park, the lodge sits eighty kilometres south of Kasane in an area of mopane woodland and open grassland. The clay-bottom pan is among several in the region that hold water well into the dry season; borehole supplements maintain it year-round. Twelve tented suites on raised timber platforms face the pan. Ten twin or super-king suites sleep two; two family suites link a main bedroom and a second twin room via a shared en-suite bathroom with both indoor and outdoor showers. Each tent has a private deck, mosquito nets, a roof fan, a safe, and lime-washed wooden floors.

The main thatched area holds an open dining space, a bar, and seating that overlooks the pan. A raised deck offers unobstructed views for stargazing. The pool sits beside the fire boma, both positioned to face the water. Four thatched viewing hides stand above waterholes on the lodge's private road network, accessed during morning and afternoon game drives through teak forest and along the Ngwezumba riverbed. Elephant, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, kudu, impala, roan antelope, oryx, eland, and oribi move through the concession; lion, leopard, and hyena follow herds. The area supports more than 450 bird species. Massage treatments are available in-room. The lodge is solar-powered and holds Eco Tourism certification. The airstrip lies eight minutes away; Mack Air connects Nogatsaa to Kasane in fifteen minutes and Maun in fifty.
