Northern Serengeti

Olaado is a seasonal, mobile tented camp in Tanzania's Mara Region, on the northern edge of the Serengeti. The camp is put up and taken down according to the season and where the wildlife is moving, which means its exact position on the savannah shifts. During the season — June through February — it also operates at sites in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Tarangire National Park.

The camp holds eight canvas tents, each sited to face out over the savannah. Inside, the tents are furnished with comfortable beds and cotton bedding, and a small private veranda with safari chairs looks out over the open land. To the rear of each tent, an en-suite bathroom has a washbasin and flush toilet. Hot bucket showers are filled on request — before an early morning game drive or after returning to camp in the evening. Solar panels supply electricity around the clock.

The dining tent has a wooden floor and canvas roof and seats up to fifteen guests. Meals are served as a multi-course menu. One section of the tent is set aside as a bar. A campfire area adjoins the dining tent and is used in the evenings. After dark, staff escort guests to their tents.
