Northern Serengeti expedition camp

This is a walking safari camp that moves. On a daily or alternate-day rhythm, a dedicated crew — cooks, waiters, camp hands — strike the tents, carry everything forward, and have the camp standing again by the time you arrive on foot. Over a trek of three to fourteen days, you cover remote sections of the Serengeti where other vehicles are rare enough to be notable.

The tents are gauze-wrapped cocoon designs with a fly sheet for rain. Beds are expeditionary-style sleeping pods — firm base, extra padding, Egyptian cotton sheets inside — nothing resembling a fixed room, but more considered than a standard field camp. There is no permanent structure and no fixed location: you sleep where the camp is pitched that evening, which shifts with the migration or the planned route.

Evenings run to sundowners and supper around a fire. The crew handles cooking and service throughout; your role is to walk during the day and eat well at night.

The camp is operated by Wayo Africa and can be deployed across several national parks beyond the Serengeti, with routes planned around the group's pace and interests. Any group travels with its own private crew for the full duration. There is no electricity supply and no connectivity — that is by design. The camp carries everything it needs and leaves nothing behind.
