Ntemwa-Busanga Camp
Ntemwa-Busanga Camp sits on the southern edge of the Busanga Plains inside Kafue National Park, one of Zambia's largest protected areas. The camp holds five thatched chalets, each with an open-air en-suite bathroom at the rear — flushing toilet, plumbed sink, and warm bucket shower. A raised main deck overlooks the plains and supplies power for charging cameras. A second sitting area doubles as a bird hide for use during the heat of the day.
The Busanga Plains shift between riverine thickets in the south, tree-lined margins, and seasonally flooded grasslands toward the centre. That range of habitats draws a wide spread of wildlife. Roan and sable antelope are regular here — both regional specials not easily seen elsewhere in Zambia. Wildebeest and zebra move through the southern plains. Several lion prides use the area, leopard sightings are reliable, and cheetah appear with a consistency that makes the Busanga Plains one of the stronger places in Zambia to find them. Wild dog pass through late in the season.
The camp runs game drives and night drives, birdwatching, and gourmet picnics in the bush. A bar and small library serve the main area. Laundry is complimentary, and a private vehicle is available. The camp is small by design — five paying chalets means the plains rarely feel crowded.
