Numero Uno Beach House
A laid-back beach bar and boutique stay on Ocean Park's sand
Skip to product information
Tables sit right on the sand at Ocean Park Beach, close enough to the water that the ceviche arrives with a sea breeze. Numero Uno Beach House runs its bar and grill from 8am to 8pm, serving mahi tacos, black bean burgers and acai bowls to guests who wander down from their rooms still in swimwear. It is a short walk, not a drive. Rooms are simple: air conditioning, a Smart TV, a private bathroom. The Deluxe Ocean View Room frames the beach through oversized windows, so the water is the first thing you see on waking. Beyond the rail, the trade winds that make Ocean Park a kiteboarding draw keep the flags snapping most afternoons, and the on-site watersports desk arranges lessons, rentals and surf or wake sessions for guests at any level. Nearby apartments, each with a kitchenette and futon, suit families or small groups wanting more space while still drawing on the Beach House's cabana service and dining. Sunset brings out the crowd for a passion fruit mojito or a spicy margarita, with the sound of the surf doing most of the talking. Concierge staff can also arrange snorkelling day trips to the Spanish Virgin Islands or a zipline run through the mountains near Orocovis, less than an hour inland. Back at the beach, the pace resets to slow.
